Superplasticiser for ultra high strength concrete
Super 1000S is a new superplasticiser based on the latest polycarboxylate-type polymer technology. Super 1000S superplasticiser is designed to impart high workability, extended slump life, and increased strength performance and enhanced durability to concrete. Super 1000S contains no added chloride and complies with BS5075: Part 3. One litre weighs approximately 1.10kg ± 0.02kg.
Based on new comb polymer technology, Super 1000S is a superior dispersing admixture having a marked capacity to disperse the cement agglomerates normally found in a cement-water suspension. This capability exceeds that of normal superplasticisers admixtures, resulting in lower dosages and better control.
- Long slump life with near neutral set times
- Finishes easily without stickiness, tearing or spotty set characteristics
- Ultra high slump concrete less susceptible to segregation and bleeding
- Provides strength enhancement for high strength concrete application
- Easily added with the concrete mix water for rapid batching
Super 1000S can be used for ultra high strength concrete application. Super 1000S is ideal for use in concrete where watercement ratio is extremely low. The addition of Super 1000S will also fluidise concrete making it ideal for high pumping and flowing concrete.
Please contact your local GCP representative for further information regarding the dispensing equipment for this product.
Super 1000S is available in bulk and in 205L drums. Super 1000S contains no flammable ingredients.
It will begin to freeze at approximately 0°C, but will return to full strength after thawing and thorough agitation.
In storage, and for proper dispensing, Super 1000S should be maintained at temperatures above 0°C.
Compatibility with Other Admixtures
Most water reducers or water-reducing retarders, except NSFC-based superplasticiser, are compatible with Super 1000S superplasticiser as long as they are added separately to the concrete.
Caution should be exercised when using Super 1000S with a retarder, as excessive retardation can occur if the admixture dosages are too high. Pre-testing of the concrete should be performed to optimise dosages and addition times of these admixtures. The admixtures should not be in contact with each other before they enter the concrete.
Depending on the application, dosage rates can range from 1,000 to 3,000mL / 100kg of cementitious material. However, in most superplasticiser applications, 1,300 to 2,300mL / 100kg of cementitious material will be sufficient. For best results, Super 1000S should be added with the mix water. At a given watercement ratio, the slump required for placement can be controlled by varying the addition rate. Should job site conditions require using more than recommended addition rates, please consult your local GCP representative.
