Product Description

ADVA® 323 is a polymer-based aqueous solution of chemical dispersants combined with other chemicals which increases its beneficial effects on the quality and plasticity of a concrete mix.

ADVA 323 is a mid-range water reducer, commonly referred to as a superplasticiser. It is a low viscosity liquid which has been formulated by the manufacturer for use as received. ADVA 323 contains no added chloride. ADVA 323 is formulated to comply with the following chemical admixture specifications for concrete: ASTM-C494, Type F.

One litre of ADVA 323 weighs approximately 1.03kg ± 0.02kg.

Addition Rates

Addition rates of ADVA 323 can vary with type of application, but will normally range from 400 to 1,500mL / 100kg of cementitious material. In most instances the addition of 600 to 1,200mL / 100kg of cementitious material will be sufficient. At a given watercement ratio, the slump required for placement can be controlled by varying the addition rate. Should job site conditions require using more than recommended addition rates, please consult your GCP representative.

Compatibility with Other Admixtures

Most water reducers or water-reducing retarders are compatible with ADVA 323 as long as they are separately added to the concrete. Pretesting of the concrete should be performed to optimise dosages and addition times of these admixture. The admixtures should not be in contact with each other before they enter the concrete. ADVA 323 should not be used together with naphthalene-based products such as DAREX® Super 20 or DARACEM®

Packaging & Shelf Life

ADVA 323 is available in bulk, and in 205L drums.

ADVA 323 contains no flammable ingredients.

    Product Advantages

    • The low alkaline content of ADVA 323 is particularly useful in applications where a limit on the equivalent sodium oxide of the mix design is specified.
    • ADVA 323 produces concrete with enhanced workability and extended slump retention to facilitate delivery and concrete placement and compaction.
    • ADVA 323 can produce low water-cement ratio concrete and achieve high strength requirement.
    • ADVA 323 concrete, even at high slump, exhibits no significant segregation (reduces tendency to bleed) compared to concrete without a superplasticiser at the same slump.
    • ADVA 323 aids in rapid discharge of concrete from truck mixers thereby reducing on the job time and improving mixer utilisation.
    • Some concrete mixes may be optimised further for cost benefits by using ADVA 323.
